This seminar offers a dynamic panel of speakers who will explore a range of hot topics in civil rights litigation, including racial and religious profiling, Section 1983 employment claims, recent developments in civil rights law, and petitions for attorney fees. Our panel of federal judges, including Judges Brown, Mosman and Clarke, will share their experiences and suggestions relating to Section 1983 litigation. Judge Coffin will discuss warrantless searches of electronic devices. Our mental health panel will share their experiences in advocating for disabled clients, mental health care provided to incarcerated persons, and law enforcement's interactions with persons suffering from mental illness.
